The problem

Research is split across eight tools. AI code has nowhere safe to run.

Today

Your work lives in pieces, and the AI can't see any of it.

reference managerLaTeX editornotebooksAI chatcloud consoleslides
  • Copying text between a chat, an editor and a PDF reader
  • AI-written code runs next to real data and credentials
  • Good prototypes die in notebooks
  • Slides rebuilt by hand for every talk

With slytes

One workspace, and an AI that can see all of it.

slytes
  • Papers, writing, code and decks in one place
  • The agent works in your own isolated sandbox
  • One click from notebook to a live app
  • Decks drafted from the work you've already done
Product

Read. Write. Build. Ship. Present.

Five steps, one loop, and everything from the first paper to the final talk in the same place.

01 / Read

Paper cards with verified findings

Upload papers. Each one becomes a card of findings, each with its exact quote and page. Semantic search across the collection.

F1 · p. 3 verified
GNNs outperform descriptor-based models on scaffold splits.Across all five benchmarks, the graph model exceeded the descriptor baseline on the scaffold split.
F2 · p. 7 verified
Accuracy falls under distribution shift.
02 / Write

Citations that can't drift

LaTeX or Markdown with a live PDF preview. Every citation the AI writes is checked word for word against the paper and recorded.

Your own sandbox and agent

Private VS Code and Jupyter, with an agent that runs code there. You choose Ask, Approve or Auto.

You see it working

A live status line and timers on every step, so you always know what the AI is doing.

Shared workspaces

Bring in supervisors, co-authors and lab members, with access by name.

Who it's for

For the people doing research, and the people teaching it.

Researchers

PhD students, postdocs and labs

In AI, quantum and data science, where the work spans papers, code and a thesis.

  • One home for literature, writing and experiments
  • AI-written code runs isolated from your data and keys
  • Turn a prototype into an app your lab can use
  • Progress and defence decks drafted from your work
Teachers

Lecturers and course leads

Who build slides, notes and demos for every class, and want students to try AI safely.

  • Slides and notes drafted from your material
  • Small AI tools for class, shipped in one click
  • A safe sandbox for each student
  • Shared workspaces for co-teaching
Security

AI-written code shouldn't be trusted by default.

So slytes doesn't. Your data stays in your workspace.

Isolated sandboxes

Each user's IDE and agent run in their own container, apart from other users and the server.

Hardened apps

Apps run as non-root on a read-only filesystem, with no Linux capabilities and their own network.

Approval first

You choose how much the agent can do alone. Deploying or deleting an app always needs your OK.

Private by default

Workspaces are visible only to you until you invite someone. Secrets never go into images.

FAQ

Questions

Which AI models does slytes use?

The agent runs on Claude or Codex, and you pick the model per conversation. More providers can be added for institutions.

Is my code isolated?

Yes. Your IDE and the agent run in your own sandbox container. Published apps run as non-root on a read-only filesystem with their own network, and secrets are kept out of the image.

Can I trust the citations the AI writes?

Each citation is tied to a finding on a paper card, which holds the exact sentence from the PDF and its page. The quote is checked word for word and recorded in a ledger when the text is written, so it isn't re-guessed later.

Can my supervisor or co-authors join?

Yes. Invite them by username to a shared workspace. Members can see and edit everything inside, and only the owner can invite, remove, rename or delete.

Where is my data stored?

In your workspace on slytes servers, separate from other users. Data region options for institutions are on the roadmap.

How much does it cost?

It's free during the beta. Paid plans are coming, and waitlist members will hear about pricing first.
